Sewage Backup Causing Water Damage - Cincinnati, OH

SERVPRO of East Chattanooga traveled to Cincinnati, OH to respond to a severe sewage backup flooding hundreds of homes in the Cincinnati area.

The amount of much that needed to be cleaned was immense. Entire basements needed to be cleaned out and even cut out. The second picture shows the drywall removed because it was contaminated by the sewage.

Tile does not have to be removed as long as the sewage does not get underneath. Since the tile was laid on top of a concrete basement we were not worried about sewer underneath as it had no where to penetrate. Had this been a first floor then the subfloor would have been removed.
